A Vision Becomes a Success

The Timberlane Community Music Association (TCMA), launched in 2019, has proven very successful through the last few years. Given the challenges faced in 2020 and 2021, the band persevered and came back in 2022 with a successful pops-inspired Variety Show showcasing talented musicians and singers from the TCMA family.

What began as a very small group of concert band musicians and music supporters in 1999 developed into the Timberlane Community Band. In the mid 2000s, the Timberlane Jazz Band was created and this group has grown in talent under the guidance of Nick and now John Mainella.

The concert band has performed regularly in their Summer Concert Series under the guidance of Tony DiBartolomeo and Gil LaPointe in Atkinson, Plaistow and Hampstead.

The Guitar and Voice Chorus are on hiatus right now, but hope to resume in the coming new year.

We look forward to continue entertaining the community with new arrangements, talented musicians and giving back to the community. Check our website regularly for updates on concerts — and also dust off that instrument — we are always looking to expand our TCMA family!

He thinks it is great to see that musical influence carry through different generations.
